1/350 Tamiya KMS Bismarck

If it goes on or under the wet stuff and doesn't fly, it's in here.

1/350 Tamiya KMS Bismarck

Post by Bissyboat »

My first boat build from 11 years back and a huge undertaking for a novise (like myself). A lot of toiling and grafting, but it turned into labour of love. Never spent a minute on the workbench working on this lady without watching "Sink The Bismarck" with Kenneth Moore. 450 hours and still not quite finished. Starboard side is missing the Baltic camouflage and I´m one Svastika short on the foc´sle. 😄

I always liked the look of Bismarck in Baltic stripes. Great work on yours!

I love that. Especially the weathering stains running down the superstructure sides!

Thank you lads. Much appreciated. The smoke stains were made from watery acrylic black paint using up strokes. I had no clue about weathering 10 years ago. I was still having growing pains in those days. :-D

That is a great build, a properly big model ship!
