Using the 1/200th AMT Saturn V rocket, I put an LED at the center engine position with an AC power cord and an on/off switch in the side of the first stage. Around the circumference of the lower first stage I wrapped a frosted, plastic binder sheet, creating a tube-like extension that about 10 inches long. Around this "tube" I glued long strips of "cotton"! I also made two holes in one side of the first and second stage for the wall studs (nails) to fit into; all this resulted in the Saturn V standing out from the wall surface with a pretty realistic looking "plume" from the engines.... plug it in and flick the switch, and the sucker comes to life right there on the wall!
A fun project rendered a great night lite for my man cave!

That’s fantastic - I’m carefully explaining to my wife how good that would look on our front room wall…

Looks great - although if I was flying in that Virgin Galactic outfit I'd be getting a bit worried.

Nicely done and very effective.
