The Chariot from "Lost in Space"

The Moebius 1/25th Space Chariot with added figures of the Robinson family and Dr. Smith!

I didn't fancy spending a load on the aftermarket resin crew figures, so I went about "crafting" my own using some
1/25 generic passenger figures from an ebay auction, some pipe cleaners, modeling clay, and Gorilla Super Glue Gel.

After completion, I made photos outdoors in front of a large scenic photo.

Awesome work on those figures! and an excellent job on the chariot. I did really enjoy the first season of Lost In Space but when the show started to revolve around Dr. Smith I sort of lost interest.

I completely agree; the first season (especially the first several episodes), was a "conceivable" type of science fiction/drama, which I enjoyed (still enjoy watching) very much!

Even the recent "Lost in Space" movie missed a golden opportunity, in my humble opinion, by not making the storyline around the unanticipated "discovery" of the original Jupiter 2, with the original cast survivors.... and their return to earth.

You have made a magnificent build. The crew you made is great, except for Penny, as a kid in the us at that time I remember her as the most lovely girl I could imagine’ , other that they are great. Think many young boys have had a crush on Penny.
And I agree the first episodes where the best, have seen some on YouTube, now I feel the last episodes are silly, but as a kid I loved it.

Yes Ivan, for that's why Penny isn't as "visible" in the model; after carving & cutting most of one day I decided to
let her print coat be the identifiable feature.

When I was trying to mimic their hoods with modeling clay, my wife came up with a couple pipe cleaners she had
and said: "Wouldn't these work?" They were perfect! ;)

Those figures are amazing! And the Chariot ain't bad, either. Overall, the set is a remarkable example of the modellers art. Bravo!

Never really cared for Lost in Space myself, probably because by the time I saw it, the show had lost most of its SF cred and had morphed into its alternate persona of "The Robot and Doctor Smith Comedy Hour, guest-starring Will the Wonder Boy". I caught some of the early first series episodes some years later and they had promise -- though some more consistent explanation of how the Jupiter 2 worked would have been appreciated (not to mention its TARDIS-like storage space). Doesn't mean that I can't appreciate models from the series, though, and this is a beaut.

I completely agree with you Tarkas; the series fell apart and stopped being followed after they changed target markets.
During their black & white (space race) era, material like that seriously "intrigued" the public.
