Some inspiration, I just finished a rebuild of a damaged display case model (C-130H) for my son's squadron.

So for a short time I can display three variants that have served with the RAAF, from the left C-130E, C-130J-30 and C-130H.

I have a AMT/ERTL AC-103U in 1/72 that has been sitting in stash since 1996. Looks like time for my Italeri 1/72 AC-130A to have some company on the shelf.
On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

Have we started yet ? I may need to get it airborne if Hurr LEE gets closer :)
Sorry John, I missed this back when you posted!

Really pleased to hear you've got your decals, that USCG scheme looks awesome!

That footage always make me imagine the loadmaster sitting on the end of the lowered ramp with a very big angle grinder....
Best wishes

I'll give it a go, do one of my brothers birds from Forbes AFB back in the early 70s! Just need to get a hold of a Minicraft 1/144 kit.

Well it looks like an LC-130 is on the cards from my bench and perhaps something with SEA camo. I should not get too far ahead of myself here!

I don't think I've heard of an LC-130 Ray, what variant is that?

LC-130 is a "ski bird". They often use RATO to assist takeoffs.
