From the bin to the showcase!

Post by LifetimeModeler »

The old Revell 1932 Ford Coupe laid dusty and in pieces for years, then I happened to watch American Graffiti a little over a week ago, and the "modeler" spirit took over! So, out came the scalpels, razor saw, Gorilla Glue, and spares boxes to bash it into the '32 Coupe Deuce that John Milner owned in the movie.

I completed it this morning, so I wanted to share it with you.

Thank you kindly everyone!

Not wanting to leave it out to the dust, I mounted it in a display case with a background image
of Mel's Drive-In. So, what kind of scene would that be without any people about, so I altered three
more of the passenger figures to make a roller skating "car hop", and a couple off to the side!

Nice model. This diorama reminds me of a scene from American Graffiti.

Nice job.
Never noticed the plate reference before now. If I had extra Lolas it would make a fun movie car.
Thanks,
