An old lag returns...
Hello again everyone. It must be seven years or so since I last posted here or on any forum so I apologise for such a long absence. Real life, in the form of illness, deaths in the family, and eventually moving house, got in the way of modelmaking. I packed it in completely until about two years ago when life had settled down at last and I slowly began to regain the old modelling mojo.
It is good to see so many familiar names still here, and I hope my rather old-style builds will still fit in.
I do have a question. What photo hosting sites would people here recommend? I can't even access my old Photobucket account, and for various other reasons wouldn't want to use them again anyway. Once I have something suitable set up I'll start posting a few builds again.
Happy modelling all!

The past, present, and future walked into a bar. It was tense.

Welcome back to the forums.
I find Postimage is very good for photo hosting - https://postimages.org/
You can also just use the 'Add Image to post' button on the bottom L/H side of this window.

To paraphrase Greg Lake, "Welcome back my friend to the show forum that never ends..." Good to have you with us again.
Posting images is much easier now. The full explanation is here: https://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12587 but in a nutshell, when posting you will see Post Images just below the dialogue box you type your post in - click on that and then find or just drag your images onto it. Make sure they are set to 600 x 800 in the pull down box first. Look forward to seeing your new work soon.
Oops, sorry Stuart - looks like we replied at the same time!

Re: An old lag returns...
Thanks so much for the nice 'welcome backs', and hello to those of you I've not chatted with before. I'll try to get something posted later today - the in-forum image posting sounds nice and easy. Don't worry, I won't flood the forum - I'm not exactly a speedy builder these days.
I thought I'd post things in the order I got them done. I did actually take photos and make some build notes as I was going along, but some of the photos are pretty poor as I had to relearn the camera. Currently recharging the battery to get some better snaps of a few builds...

Ok let's see if this works...
Hmm. Apparently not. I get the resized image in a separate browser window but can't see any options to upload? Any suggestions?

First, Welcome Back.
Next, I’m getting a transfusion, stuck on hospital network on a cell phone I can barely use, so I’ll check in a couple hours and see if you still need help with Images - post image is pretty easy but it’s free and sometimes acts like it

Re: An old lag returns...
Are you using the 'Add image to post' link immediately below the reply 'box'? This is the easiest and quickest way to add images but does not create an account or give you access to uploaded images. It should just allow you to select the images you want to show in your post, the size (17" monitor) and the length of time to display them (no expiration)...
Best wishes

Ah! Now I have it. I was dropping the image into the popup box, not into the text box. Doh.
John, sorry to hear you are going through some things. Hope all gets resolved for the better asap.
