A nice straighforward and easy little kit. Gets the low-slung look of the Crusader very well- in fact it is noticeably lower in profile than the Airfix or Hasegawa kits I compared it to due to the positioning of the road wheels. I'm not sure if this is more accurate or if the suspension was adjusted for desert use, but it seems to match well with some old photos. No alterations except to scratch up the sand shields and headlight guards - the kit provides PE versions but I detest PE. I painted it without too much weathering. I do have a nasty feeling that these early Crusaders were more likely in Caunter camo, but this is the scheme suggested in the destructions and matches some photos of the MkIIs. Plus I have a Mk I project do do Caunter with at some point.

The past, present, and future walked into a bar. It was tense.

Remarkable job at that scale!
Best wishes

Re: Crusader II (1/72 IBG)
Thanks very much chaps. I've just done another of the IBG crusader variants and they do practically build themselves. The only fiddly stuff is the air filters at the back, parts of which love to ping out of the tweezers! Sorry about the blur in the photos - I've got better with the camera since I took these shots.

That is a great looking build, Ben and I've long liked the look of the Crusader.
