Airfix Ferret New Wheels

The new Airfix Ferret scout car has one obvious fault- the tyres aren't right because they cannot mould the treads
To remedy that I have been making new 3D printed replacement wheels with a Dunlop cross-country pattern.

Note it looks possible to omit the turret plate and turret to create a Mk I open top Ferret. To that end I will also be
modelling a Bren gun on its swivel mounting.

If there is enough interest I will be selling sets of wheels and Brent etc. I shall post photos in due course but my time is limited at the moment and I may not be able to show a Ferret model with new tyres on it yet.

I do not understand this statement, do you mean the tyres in the kit are incorrect because they have moulded them wrong ? I have have been following the Ferret.

Yes the tread pattern his not correct- it should be aDunlop cross country one and they cannot injection mould that.

I think the kit wheels are a very good representation of the full size.
