Thanks all. Nothing clever, just patience.
When I came to paint the dashboard I found that there should have been a loop underneath in which you locate the steering column, missing on mine. Appears to be a moulding error and not this time, my sausage fingers.

Image

Nothing clever in fixing it, just super glue gel to hold it in place.

Nice looking dash, General. I don't think the missing mounting loop for the steering column will pose too much of a problem for you to sort out but it's a little frustrating that the thing is missing in the first place.

The body has been attached to the frame and bottom half. This was done gluing it an inch or so at a time and holding it in position till dry.

The white paint has turned out very dull despite Tcut and car polish, though it does have a pleasant sheen. It does look quite good, so I will stick with it.

Slowly she continues to advance

Image

The fit so far is pretty good.
The bonnet (hood) is left separate and loose so that it is removable to view the engine.

Luggage rack has been added. Needed holding in place while the glue set. The support struts still need adding.

Image

Francoise is also advancing.

Image

A problem that will soon be encountered. Ine of the headlight mounting brackets is short shot (or broken).

More great progress on the car and the lovely Francoise, General. The short shot headlight mount is a bit of a pain though.
