Great work on the Walrus and it's base Richard, they look excellent.
I like your 'impressionist modeller' terminology; very good indeed
Best wishes

A little bit more done on the Dutch farmhouse.

Another KGL regiment, the Light Battalion Grubenhagen, has been started. Mostly re-paints with a few new figures.

Initially, I thought they wore green jackets, like the Rifles, but the image I found was incorrectly captioned. Another site confirmed their colours.

Some nice building. Love the Barn…
The best thing, is to keep on building. Clap your hands, stamp your feet, wiggle your fingers…

Thanks Howard, they both started off as background builds, but I'm between projects this week, so there may be a little spurt of accelerated building/painting

Stuff done on the bases.

I've tried to blend them.

I'm happy with the way the KGL are developing.

The KGL Grubenhagen are now complete and in the Gallery  ;-)
On 6 March I received a small package. It was the missing part of the SR-N1 Hovercraft, thanks to the Airfix Spares Department. I cleaned it up and primed with grey, then airbrushed white. I may have handled it too soon in my impatience and had to re-paint over blemishes. The wheels are very fragile. To eliminate the chance of knocking them off, I cut three pieces from a paint brush ferrule and fixed them underneath. This raises the whole model, as if in flight.

More in the Gallery :)

You always do a good sea base, Ratch and the Walrus dio really looks good. More great Napoleonic stuff and the SR-N1, which I've long thought to be one of Airfix's more imaginative releases.

Thanks Shaun, I have a rather play-worn Corgi SR-N1 too :)

Just started this A1373.

I started by washing the runners in warm, soapy water. They were left to air dry. Then some research.
