Fuji T1; 1/72 Hasegawa

Post by vacant »

Straight out if the box, no filler, no extras, nothing. This kit was a special edition that came with a towing tractor.

It was sent as a present from my son in Tokyo who does not keep a record of previous kits he has sent. This is now the fourth kit of the Fuji T1 he has sent me. I finished one of them in overall aluminium. The third photo shows the three that I painted in white with red and orange patches. One can have too much of a good thing.

You cannot have too many of those if they are "the good thing". Superb models all.

Those look great, are the orange areas decals or painted? Tractor is a nice touch too.

It looks perfect but then you’ve had plenty of practice 😁

Migrant, the orange and red areas are mostly decals, though some touching up with paint was needed. The decals were about the right balance between having the ability to curve (just about) and strength (though several split).

Very nice Vacant, do the Japanese have an 'Orange Arrows' display team? Won't be long before you have the whole team!

Thanks for the comment on the PR XIX btw.

The Japanese display team is the Blue Impulse. No Orange involved.

A very striking scheme, well executed and a great looking trio. I tend to buy my own kits and so can't lay the blame at anyone else's door if I inadvertently end up with multiples!

I do like these and you have done a great job on them.Well done.
Strangely enough other than a Zero I've never built any other Japanese aircraft. I keep trying to get a recent issue at a reasonable price, not the £30+ they are listed at on Hannants.
