Airfix 1/43 Land Rover for O Gauge Railway

Post by mattbacon »

Hey-ho, hey-ho, it's off to work we go. Here's the Landy from my Workbench Window thread ready to take up residence on my Uncle's model railway:

Various AK and MiG weathering products -- rain marks, grime, oil stains. The tools are from a MiniArt "Tool Set" in 1/48, also (and originally) available in 1/35 for your tank workshop. I couldn't find a way to get the oxy-acetylene cylinders in the loadbed without a major health and safety violation, so I had to stick with the little wheeled compressor, which is about the size of my thumbnail and still has 15 parts!

best,
M.

The tools add a nice bit of veracity to the model.

That looks just right with the assortment of stuff in the back!

It looks excellent and the tools finish it off superbly.

That looks great Matt, can't beat the old 'self-steering' Land Rovers! I would get the cylinders chucked in the back - I can't imagine they went a bundle on H&S back then!

Absolutely brilliant. I doubt there will be any of Airfix's Landies done as well as that one: superb.
