Right on time :).

CAC Wirraway, I was building it concurrent with P-400. Finally done. Hataka and Mr Color lacquers used for major camo. Pretty simple kit, typical short-run and a fairly old one from Special Hobby. But I like their kit, always did.

Well, as always, not much written by me about the inner works of the bench, but I assure You, Hans and Bob the builders were not asleep. Sideshot project again. Friend of mine presented me with this gem of a kit from our past, original release of Matchbox He111. I built it to follow the artwork rather than reality, kind of a 'adventure of a little boy back into a different era'.

Top work with the paint and finish of that Heinkel. Great looking aeroplane.

Hi Marek.

I really like your Wirraway. My father built some of them many years ago. A lovely aircraft.

Excellent work, Marek.
That Wirraway is a beauty, and older kits can look wonderful with the right attention as you have given.

And ... off the bench it goes. Another one of project that started out of blue. Some (long) time ago I bought Amodel 1/144 Iliushin Il-12 and Il-14. Was not sure if I can pull it off without heart attack and put building them off. About a month ago it 'magically' found its way to my workbench as a side-project. It is finally off he bench. I am glad, it is glad too, probably since there was not much love between us. It is Amodel. Crude, but buildable.

It has been a while since I posted any real update. Building continues just not enough time to do everything else needed for proper documentation etc. Thus ... public relations side suffers :) .

I have 3 recent builds to report, from May to now :).:

1:48 Modelsvit Bf-109c-3, Luftwaffe, September 1939

Image

1/72 Special Hobby FH-1 Phantom, 1949 from USS FDR, VF-17A

Image

1/72 Trumpeter Hawker Sea Fury

Two more to photodocument. None of them were of any 'special skill needed' level. Modelsvit was actually quite nice. Prefit, prefit, prefit. Otherwise no vices but my fingers! Special Hobby is a member of the new wave of Special Hobby kits, almost there with big guys. Caution around intakes. Worst off was Trumpeter. This kit just felt like paper in terms of strength, with lots of thermal deformations/sink marks etc. Simply not there and I was really happy to get it done.

All three look marvellous Marek, the Sea Fury especially so 👍
Best wishes

One more, this Airfix kit was haunting me for a long time. Finally, I put it on the bench as a side project and finished it before ModelSvit one :).
