Another Wurger transition to combat ready. This time sort of a night fighter from Hasegawa (Fw190A-5)

That is a superb FW-190, Marek, you certainly know how to build a model 8-)

Ditto, awesome. My daughter has a Revell 190 she hasn't built yet, I might just relieve her of it.
It's only pain, work through it.

Two new completion that were lagging on the workbench:
1/350 Mirage Hobby U-176, Type IXC turm II

Image

and 1/700 Skywave / PitRoad DD115 Yamagumo

Image

Yamagumo has defeated me in terms of working with photo-etched. Me and superglue are not friends, that I have already known. I did not take into account how flexible and bendable are railings (old Eduard's set of generic railings). Both combined provided for the end result looking like it just emerged from a super hurricane :). Oh well, good enough as a stepping stone toward more complicated 700 builds.

The Mirage III is in the state of pemament sanding and blending. I hope to put some more effort into cleaning of the airframe and it should get final coat soon.

On the bench are also 2 other models now:

1/72 Special Hobby Wirraway

Image

and 1/72 RS models P-400 Aircobra

Image

What can I say, I enjoy challenging kits :)

Great stuff as always Marek. The KP D.510 looks really nice, how was the build? I was thinking of buying one.

Mike, KP's kit is very simple. There were no real issues, some simplifications but at this scale I believe it's a winner. But on the other side, I loved Heller kit and see them as equals. Nowadays they are probably equal in price as well :).

The U-boat and destroyer look great. The seascape is very well done.
Nice work on the aircraft as well.

Nice work, Marek.
Both those 190s look very finely finished. I have built and enjoyed the Airfix kit.
And that Wirraway looks interesting.
I too, am not friends with CA. I find I can manage with the slow-drying gel variety, otherwise forget it.

Cheers,

David

Little bit of hiatus between now and last report from workbench. I find it a bit harder to provide regular updates (and I do have stuff WIP all the time), and when update arrives it means bunch of models not one.
These two I finished few days ago.

Dragon's 1/72 PzIVD is a 'run away from' type kit. It appears nice until you see how Dragon provided tracks and wheels in one chunk of ... rubber. Otherwise passable but geared definitely toward gamers rather than modellers (and no it does not provide for a good first kit since dealing with too narrow tracks and other idiosyncrasies of this kit will end its career in a bin. End result is anther one of my glorious 6-feeters :) (looking good from a distance of 6 or more feet)

Second today was a Tamiya Renault R-35 in Polish service, 1939. Very stressless kit, simple and beautifully engineered.

Now, back to finishing P-39 and Wirraway ... and Arma's 1/72 PZL P-11C

Personally I think that the Pz IV would easily pass the 3 foot test and psoobly even closer looking at the image. The Renault also looks a nice model.
