Presumably you have a good supply of leather cleaner standing by.
Would ya like to learn to fly? Would ya? Would you like to see me try?

As the car has a 20 ft stack of junk out of the garage on the passage seat, I will attempt a normal in doors build.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

I'm all set for a 10:00 UK local start. Only anther 14 hours to go.
The table has been cleared, kits lined up and a new clock made. (I was to be in colour but guess who ran out of one colour in his printer )
See you all tomorrow.
Regards

Good progress all three hulls are underway, the M1132 needed some odd triangular bit removed as on the real thing they are made out of tubing that should be quite easy to replicate with wire.
I have drilled out the gun barrels and will start to add the hatches and small parts once the hulls have set.
Time to change the music I think a bit of P!nk to up the beat.

Good start to these three Splash, I've always fancied trying some of these ex JB Models kits, they all look to be simple but pretty accurate representations of the real thing.
Keep it up!

Re: Splash's triple AFV's ***started***
Hi Guys thanks for the support.
Not much progress to show as its all little bits, what I have noticed is that the carpet monster has taken a liking to 1/76 AFV parts so watch out.
As the glue is setting I thought I would try and make some bases out of old cd's. Last night before my printer ran out of ink I managed to do a search on the Internet for mud textures like the ones 3d computer artists us and found quite a lot, so I downloaded a couple and printed them on to blank cd labels.
I have just stuck them onto some old CDs that came with a computer mag what do you think will it work?

Just catching this Splash and good progress so far.
Those CD bases are very effective indeed and are going to compliment your models well I would think once you have them finished, very nice.
Regards
Mark

Re: Splash's triple AFV's ***started***
Just dropped in, currently working on the logo from hell so I'm taking time out before my Mac has a quick flying lesson through the window. Not a logo for hell, we don't get that sort of client. Not very often anyway. Although there was once this very dodgy sounding "private security company" which I can't really talk about. Obviously they logo the bodies as a sort of calling card or something. Oh, yes, the models. very nice work. I too like the CD bases.
Would ya like to learn to fly? Would ya? Would you like to see me try?

Terrific idea with the CD bases. I have the kit to do labels but have never taken it that extra step.

Detailing the m113 has taken longer than I had expected, I have added the guards and some ring bolts made from plastic strip and wire.
