Hello!
Hi folks!
I'm a born-again modeller after a 20 year break! I was bought an Airfix 1:72 Spitfire as a gift (terrible kit!) but it reignited my old flame. As I've been trying to improve my skills I've found this site to be a great help, and thought it was about time I joined and said hello, and thanks.

Just finished this old Matchbox 1:72 Mustang P-51D I won on eBay:
Oh, and I do GamesWorkshop stuff too, just finished this guy:

Re: Hello!
Welcome to the Foram Daz.
I know how you feel, I came back from a 20 year break last year, this is a great friendly site, my skills have improved beyond recognition in just over a year, by just watching how the others build their kits and copying their techniques.
Regards

Re: Hello!
Welcome to the forum Daz. You'll find your figure painting skills will come in handy in kit modelling too, also Citadel paints are great in many applications.

Re: Hello!
Maybe if I took a 20-year break, I could come back and produce models that good looking.
Welcome aboard.

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Welcome, Daz.
My models suck and I didn't even have the benefit of a twenty-year break.....Dirkpitt289 wrote:The 20 year break didn't work for me, I still suck...jRatz wrote:Maybe if I took a 20-year break, I could come back and produce models that good looking.

Re: Hello!
What is this "break" you speak of?
I know not of it.
Welcome Daz...make yourself at home and don't take any of it too seriously.
I'll echo James' comment re figure painting skills.

Bruce
