Looking super Splash, the sail looks the biz. That book looks interesting is it about converting plastic kits, or cardboard models?

Cheers

It contains three card models, Thay are all a bit angular, but fun none the less.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Cheers for the feed back, I have now added numbers to both sides of the sail and added some internal detail.

I happy with the sail as its just translucent enough to show the numbers from the rear.

Connecting the sail to the mast and boom might be a challenge as on the real thing they slide along a slot, I can't make up my mind to use super glue or PVA,

 Time to call out the grammar and spelling police  I said sale instead of sail, what a tool.

That SAIL is coming along great. I see that they have this car in the Top Gear studio for series 17.

Job hunting, interviews and trying to set up my own business and as the weather has been so good my other hobby of flying R/C Helicopters has taken a hit on my modelling time, but I managed to get a couple of hours at the bench today.

I planned to use the driver out of the Airfix Escort as a James May, not realising how much work it might take. My first problem is he needs his shirt & tie taking off, that was the easy part just ten minutes with a scraper and sanding stick sorted that

The next problem was fitting him in the driving seat. His legs are bent back under the seat and will not fit in the car, so it's plan B put him in the back steering the tiller, this introduced another problem, he has no back just a big void!!!!!

Ok let's cut his legs off, reposition them and fill the big hole in his back with milliputty. I'm happy with the results so far, once he has a life jacket on he should look OK.

I have also sorted out the dash and interior and fitted a wooden bench over the rear seat.

I love this, but I guess this is going to be the car from the first series with no centerboard.
