A great result Narayan. Can you imagine being out on the razz with the boys from Eduard over one of their self-defined "weekends"? It'd take a month for the headache to go

Lovely L-39!
I plan to build one of these too.
Best wishes for 2017!

Thanks all.
The La-7 has had decals applied and is now looking far too shiney! Although part of that is the light. That will be dulled down later.
I'm also working on an Airfix 1/48 BAe Hawk. I started this years ago.

Both Lavochkin and Albatros look very good indeed. I like the look of L39 in particular, always liked them.

The Hawk does look a little "Albatrossy" in the picture but well done on restarting it. It's a habit I'd like to get into

Greetings!
Once again it's been a while since I updated my workbench window. However I've had a very busy year with a house build so modelling has taken a bit of a backseat until recently. Obviously the first thing on the house plans was the man cave. We designed the rest of the house round that
This was it before I moved anything in to it.
I'm testing out a new photo upload service following the Photobucket debacle. That's my test image.

OK, that took a few attempts!
Next up was to bring all my stash together. Most of it had been in storage the last few years.
Those are all in a separate store room.
I also have a few big kits.

Thanks iggie.
The office has been partly decked out but still a bit to do until it's the way I want it.
Moving on to the important stuff.
I'm currently working on a couple of kits. Firstly I decided to build a car. Something I haven't done in a while.
I hadn't taken any shots along the way. This is the current progress.
I also decided to enter a floatplane / flying boat group build with my local IPMS. I picked this out of the stash.
It's a very straightforward kit. The thought process was I could get this done nice and quickly to get me back in the swing of things and at the same time reduce the stash.
Boy was I wrong.
Luckily I have a couple of bags of cement left over from the house build.

PM. Nearly a byword for quality. Poor quality.
Truly impressive stash you've got there. Jealous now.

The Floatplane is going together slowly with mucho filler and sanding.
Still a lot more filling and sanding to be done.
A bit more progress on the Ferrari. The cabin has come together.
That will be placed on the chassis as is. The dashboard attaches to the body of the car.

PM=Putty Monster. I have that kit and am a bit afraid of it! And that's quite the stash too.

I've never completed a car kit, tho I have started one or two and that Fezza is coming together very nicely Narayan. I've never built a PM kit either but I am very experienced in the use of filler as a major structural component in the building of model kits
