Post by spitfire1677 »

Hi all,
I have been lurking on here on and off for a while and thought it was about time I made a WIP thread for myself so all you fellas can see my bodging of plastic :-D I recognise a few names from the ATF and Revell-ations and look forward to seeing all of your work :)

I started a new model yesterday its a Finemolds 1-72 Kayaba KA-GO Model 1 (FP-16) its my first auto-gyro :D

Very nicely finished. I´ve never done a finemolds but you only read good stuff about them - not the cheapest out there though!

Great result, like the sheen of the finish and the wood prop is a nicely done and a good contrast.

Hey, neat little 'gyro! Good job!

Never seen the bird before, was it a copy of a Pitcairn or something?
(Despite the name, it doesn't look like it has any cargo space...? )

No mate, it is actually an American designed auto-gyro called the Kellett KD-1 that the Japanese used.

Hi all,
I will be staying with the Japanese theme for my next build, which will be Tamiyas 1-48 Mitsubishi J2M3 Raiden "Jack" (6418):

I am not sure which version I am going to do yet or if it is going to be factory fresh or weathered to within an inch of its life ;-)
