Thanks for the above. Immensely helpful. What's your mpreferred rigging material and method, by the way?

If I can get away with the thickness, 0.3mm charcoal EZ line for non-structural rigging, or any elastic thread, painted by running a brush loaded with Metallizer steel along a length weighted with a peg and hung from the ceiling. . Uschi looks better in 1/72nd, but is at the limit of what I can see when it comes to poking the ends accurately into holes. If there's a need for the rigging to be functional I'll use fishing line/invisible thread coloured with a permanant marker. Much easier to get into the holes, but much trickier to get it sufficiently taught. I still use rolled copper wire and stretched sprue if the circumstances make it easier.VickersVandal wrote:Thanks for the above. Immensely helpful. For 1/48th and up I used to use Wonder Wire, a black ceramic wire that is easy to use, straight over long distances, and not too thick, but it's become very hard to get, which is a shame.

Lads and lasses, I know I've not been active on this forum since May last year, but think it only fair to give you advance warning (unless it's a scam of some sort). Just had notice that the hosting service I use, Picturetrail, is closing at the end of February. So this thread will be more or less a midden of broken links. Sorry about that, but beyond my control.
Paul.

That's really too bad. Your work has always been an inspiration.

That's a real shame. I'd better find time for a final perusal.

Indeed that is a real shame, Paul, I also very much enjoy seeing your efforts.
