Another busy day for the range at Donna Nook with 3 lots of F15s today (including a pair still battering the targets as I type) plus a flight of Belgian F16s that flew overhead en route to an exercise area over the North Sea this morning. This is all part of Exercise Cobra Warrior with visiting aircraft staging out of Coningsby and Waddington. We're yet to see the Indian Air Force Mirages yet though 🤔
Best wishes

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

There's some neat footage of stuff at Waddo on Youtube.

2 F-18s just roared low over the Solway north coast heading East.

Anybody know who they belong to? Is USN visiting or another air force (Swiss? Finnish? Canadian?)

Finnish F-18s were at RAF Waddington last week but I thought they had already returned to Finland.

Lots of Blackhawks and other helos. Plus a few CF-18s. President Biden was in Ottawa, and had dinner at the Aviation and Space Museum just down the road.

We had four A400's flying low over the town, it made a change from the Hercs going in and out of Ramstein.
It's only pain, work through it.

I was at Waddington today doing a BA course, and we had a flypast by two F35 Lightning II, the first time I've seen them in the flesh and by heck, they're noisy!!
We also had a Phenom doing circuits, followed by one of the Red Arrows also on circuits and finally late this afternoon a Grob Tutor. All in all, an entertaining day although bloody hard work during the training 😲

What's a Phenom?

Around my area; police helicopters. We have only one so I don't know where the second has come from
We have a very serious para-military inter-gang war going on here right now. The helicopters will be using their infrared to keep a watch on the situation
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Currently doing circuits and bumps at FLG is N757HW, the specially-modified B757 belonging to Honeywell as an engine test bed:

Flew past my office window once, but it's in a left-hand circuit and so I can't see her any more....
