Re: Splash's RF-4E tiger
I was going to say something about how great your work is on the free hand strips Splash but after that offensive description toward this beautiful aircraft I just can't bring myself to do it. I'm speechless that such diatribe could come from someone like you...
HAHAHAHA, As you know I'm just kidding. Outstanding work on such an UGLY aircraft!

That looks better than decals. Absolutely stunning work.

Really good paintwork there Splash. It enhances the lines of what is one of the world's most beautiful jet aircraft
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

That's impressive freehand spraying, Splash and I agree with you...you can put lipstick on a pig and it's still a pig!
I tend to view the F-4 as a piece of two-be-four, with wings. Not pretty, but infinitely useful.
Regards,
Bruce

Re: Splash's RF-4E tiger
This is a bit like fishing - cast in the bait and see if you get a bite. Splash has bitten on a couple of occasions and has almost been reeled in
I don't really think the F-4 is that good looking, but couldn't resist the urge to keep describing it as such given your earlier comments Splash - soz and all that.

Nice work on those stripes Splash,
There was probably less stress than messing with the decals as well!
Regards

I set myself up as the bait so who is being reeled in?ShaunW wrote:This is a bit like fishing - cast in the bait and see if you get a bite. Splash has bitten on a couple of occasions and has almost been reeled in

Wow, splash. Great paint work. I am not worthy.

Stunning work as usual Splash. You're a brave man. I don't think I would have ever tried that.

Re: Splash's RF-4E tiger
Thanks for all the comments, I'm glad I tried the free hand spraying, I think it's turned out not bad and probably easier than trying to apply the decals.
