Struggling on with the daunting experience - had an issue with the IP fouling the top fuselage

Tried to post an explanation of so far but industrial phone and bad internet said no!

Had grief on the dry fit with the IP fouling the top fuselage section housing a couple of pea shooters - this doesn't become apparent until everything is assembled and ready to go - Soft Science?

I scraped out the cowling top as I'm going to have some tubing instead of solid plastic for the machine guns and had to cut the IP down a couple of mm and re-attach. Hope that does it - glued the main structure together needs a few hours to firm up now as do we all

Been awhile struggling with the modern tech on my boat internet can be a struggle! Have had to break my rule having only one on the go at the same time as I put decal seat belts on the Dauntless and this taught me two things - decal seat belts still look naff and the decals will break up under minimal contact so back in the box naughty.
Started the Tamiya Pfeil in 1/48 very simple but clicks together nicely for the most part enjoying it thus far

Tried a new approach - as the weather has not been that good for spraying, as I need a bit of outside as room is limited on the boat I got the brushes out!
I can't do the brushwork so well so I thought small subject built in front of the TV. This is the Airfix King Tiger in 1/76 I found the detailing a bit soft but reasonable pleased in the end. Thinking of doing a Cromwell next to give it something to aim at!

Continuing my TV tank building watching the snooker whilst the wash dries on me tracks.





This is the IBG Cromwell IV. Never even heard of this brand but it fits together quite cleverly if you think about it a bit.
You get a a bit of pe I've done the easy bits on the hull but I'm dreading the bars around the lamps at the front which looks extremely fragile. They'll be the last things on I suppose!
The tracks are moulded with the inside road wheels in place you paint and attach the outer road wheels. Maybe not the best detailed tracks but no worries about saggyness it's good enough for me anyway!

The Dornier cockpit looks great, Stamford as indeed does that Tiger II. I've never heard of IBG either, but the Cromwell looks promising. The brush guards in PE might well be a bit tricky in this scale but will be worth the effort if you have the patience to persevere with them.

I think they are a Polish company Stamford. I've done a few of their kits and they usually have good fit but one or two weird inaccuracies. I've not done their Cromwell so can't help you there, but their Crusader variants are pretty nice.

Spent a lot of time procrastinating over putting the pe lamp guards on they scared my eyes and fingers.
Failed yesterday putting PVA on the model then trying to put these tiny pieces on with tweezers so I switched it around dipped the spindly legs in PVA and managed to get them approximately where I wanted them! Trying to fix them into place with a bit of future/past floor polish.
Quite relieved actually didn't think I had the dexterity left! Phew!

Well done with the lamp guards! I always replace PE ones with stretched sprue tbh as it's easier to attach and the real things weren't flat. Cromwell is looking good though.
