back again, I have been reading all about painting these little objects and have done some pre-shading and highlighting prior to slapping a few coats of well thinned paint on. I have also tried to reduce the image size , I've gone down to 800 pixels wide is this the norm or should it be smaller?

and thanks for the encouragement.

Pics are a good size and the pre-shading should work well.

Several thin coats brushed on, (I have to go outside to airbrush and its not been the weather for it). Then parts joined, I was particually impressed by the way all the paint fell off the tracks when putting them on. I think I forgot to give them a good scrub in soapy water before painting. decals on and a little bit of a wash over the whole thing. Hopefully tomorrow I can get it finished.

we've all done that, some more often and recently than we care to admit.
sherman looks good though.

What paint did you use for the tracks? acrylic or enamel? I ask because it is best to prime flexible tracks with enamel before colouring them. Also joining these things is always a pain and is easier before you try to paint them.

Looking good! The track weathering is very nice.

All done now, and I can now see all the mistakes. I think the gun barrel is pointing far to high and one of the decals has slipped out of alignment. As to the tracks I thought I would be clever and prime them with Halfords plastic primer thinking if its designed for plastic on cars there would be a bit of flex in it. I though enamels would be a bit rigid. I used acrylics after the primer. anyway I enjoyed this build more than I thought I would having only ever done aircraft before. I have even gone and got another tank, an Emhar WW1 MKIV. Have put some piccies on the completed thread.
