Fantastic paint job Mark. What is your airbrush and compressor setup?

Re: Titan's 2013 Table Top
Thanks all for the interest.
There is a lot of control to be had with this bit of kit as there are two adjusters, one at the front and one at the rear which makes airflow so easy to regulate.
The compressor has a water trap and airflow regulator as well .
And this is the Compressor that I have been using for the past four years which has served faultlessly during that time.
Four years ago this whole set up cost me £87.00 (139.90 USD )
Regards
Mark
For the mottles on the 410 Ralph I used this Airbrush but swapped out the 0.25mm needle for a 0.2mm needle.Softscience wrote: What is your airbrush and compressor setup?

Re: Titan's 2013 Table Top
Well it's nearly the end of the year and as I have not built anything recently I will close up this work bench and open up a new workbench for 2014.
Although I didn't quite make my set target for this year I came pretty close to it but I am pleased with nearly all of my output for 2013.
Here are the 22 I did manage to do....( Half of which were Matchbox builds.)
One or two could have been better but that was down to my shifts at work getting in the way, I think in future instead of trying to make time to build I will build when I have the time..
I can't pick a favorite though, I tried but just can't.
Merry Christmas all

22 great builds there Mark. Standout for me would be the NASCAR purely because I don't see any built.

Re: Titan's 2013 Table Top
Those are brilliant Mark, so many models to such a high standard. I was going to add that I don't know how you do it, but I think the answer is in your post:
That's my New Years Resolution right there: I'm going to make time to build, instead of building only when I have time (which is hardly ever). Cheers MarkTitan wrote:I think in future instead of trying to make time to build I will build when I have the time.

A lovely collection there Mark, your work is always of a very good standard and there's a nice diversity in that little lot.

Re: Titan's 2013 Table Top
All brilliantly impressive builds and I take your point about making time to build. I've decided, after a manically hectic 2013, to design in some modelling time to my schedule. I don't know about any of you guys but I need it to relax.

Re: Titan's 2013 Table Top
Thanks all, it was a very good year despite life getting in the way on a few occasions but that happens to us all in one way or another.
I'm quite looking forward to next year especially now that I have all the kits that I intend to build out of the loft and to hand where some nostalgic fettling has been going on recently.
Thanks again for looking in and have a happy modeling 2014.

Re: Titan's 2013 Table Top (Re-opens)
I know, I know...but I thought that I wouldn't be able to get another kit in before the end of the year and I still may not but I was getting a bit itchy having not made anything for a while so on Saturday night I thought I would try and push through a new tooled Airfix kit so I chose this one...
It is a very nice kit although not perfect, little things that rankle like there are no aerials included with the kit and the cockpit fit is rather tight so much so I had to hack bits off the tub to get a decent fit so that it did not push the fuselage halves away from each other.
Some filler was also used underneath where the lower wings meet the fuselage but this happens on most kits.
This was all easy enough to fix but was rather unexpected.( May be just me though)
Anyway from what I have done so far I can say that it will be a kit I would be happy to build again.
This is what I have done in the last two days.
It's had two coats of Klear and I will add the decals tomorrow.
Regards
