Either way if you are doing masks or decals its a ton of work. If memory serves me right there were around 680 decals/ masks used. You could reduce the number for your build if you follow the photos that JRaz posted that shows that on the underside of the aircraft the wings weren't done. Only the engine nacelles and the fuselage. Nigel did the entire underside. Which is correct I don't know because there are no photos of the underside that I've been able to find

If you look closely at the quarter nose view in the PDF I posted, you could infer there were no dots underwing. What appears to be a dot on the left of the photo I believe is the insignia underwing. But, you are correct, I have seen no clear definitive evidence either. And I wasn't there, either ....

Just need to mask the 'windows' before it's totally covered.
I like it in blue. I am tempted to put some Blue Angel decals on it.

So, I didn't go into the office today due to the weather / travelling conditions this morning so have been working (!) from home. As I don't have full desktop access I have found myself with some spare time which I have put to good use.

And what a massively tedious job it was!! At least I can do some more painting now.

So - it's had two coats of blue and a coat of Klear so I've been a busy bunny.
Guess what I've been doing?



You could say I'm a bit 'punch drunk' now.....

I've blu-tac'd some decals in the right place and I have printed off the profile pics so I can start adding dots!

And whilst they may be slightly over scale, I can live with it.

Thanks for the support, Dirk. I think you would have been better off sticking your tape onto greaseproof paper (or similar) so you got a neater 'punch'. They look a bit ragged, which may end up spoiling your model.

I now have 2 wings done but I think I need to go to the doctors.
I'm seeing spots before my eyes!!!!

I agree but its the best I have at the moment. I've been using a sharp blade to try and titty them up. I will most likely have more touch up once the masks are pulled off.
