2130 EST, 7 Feb -- 11 down, 13 to go

That's it for today … I'm watching paint dry. I could do something but I just don't sense the need for it unless something very wrong happens tomorrow and then it'll be too late, won't it ?

Image

The tripods are painted and partly assembled. I can do some detail painting (screw threads, mating surfaces, etc) and some washing, but basically we're into final assembly …. erroneous mount and all ….

The receiver & barrel parts are all painted but it's a bit shiny. I think I need to dullcote them first, then finish assembly … then do some detailing …

The ammo belts are being painted and still need the feed tab put on the opposite end. That'll be a time filler task ….

The ammo cans are partly assembled, need painting then final assembly …. The water can is assembled, needs paint ….

I am very very impressed, John.
You had time to go to dinner AND play Lego LOTR for an hour. During a Blitz! Personally I much prefer Lego Star Wars, but I love all the Lego games. Super fun.
I do like the ammo belt. You make the painting sounds quite easy but I bet it wasn't really.
What is that cup of clear liquid? Sure not a very large measure of vodka?

Great work John and who could fail to be impressed at someone taking time out during a blitz to take the wife out for dinner? No such treat for Mrs W during my build!

He has time to go out for dinner. Very relaxed, chilling. Cool about it all.
I like that.

But we miss you here. Wakey wakey! :-D

I'm here.

@Ian, we've done all the other Lego games; we're stalling on LoTR until we hear what/when the next is. The clear beverage is ... water ... you saw the 9%+ beer I had with dinner ....

Wifey dug out her old iPod (she's a phone person now) and we went through the resync to get my music on it … good day already ….

We had a nor'easter blow through last night, bunch of rain. Understand it is heading up the coast where it collides with a couple other weather systems for huge snow …. Dirk, you ready ??

Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to work we go ….

Staff is deploying to the east coast but they have to go this morning or they will not get in until the aftermath. Interesting how 2ft of snow in these parts we take in stride. Metro areas it is a far different matter.

Not to get off subject in your thread, but I'm right in the middle of the storm now. Waiting to see what it brings. No better time than now to work on a few projects in between shoveling snow.
Regards, Tony

Alas, it's interesting to see how 2 inches of snow brings most of the UK to a grinding halt

And I'm in a place where we have NO snow equipment ... and I'm here on purpose having spent most of my life in snowy places ...

Good luck, Tony, we have an elderly (but very spry) aunt in the Poconos so we're watching that area ....

Define young! Haha... I feel old at times, young at heart. Doesn't matter if the body dissolves as long as the mind is allright. :ha:

I'd feel younger if I didn't have a heating pad wrapped around my lower back trying to fix a case of forgetting how old I am several months ago ....
