Just kidding. I guess I could force myself to build a Spitfire (that I don't build) in actual markings. I may paint the pilots wearing pyjamas though.

With little Spitfires on them....

i should clarify.. I'll be waearing the pyjamas while painting (and yes, they will have little Spitfires on them).. the pilot will be wearing a full-length Versace ballgown with a scratchbuilt Louis V purse and possibly a pair of deely-boppers.

FYI

Airfix Model World, March 2013 issue, has both a historical article on Seafires in the Korean War and a build review of the Airfix 1/48 Seafire FR.46/47.

Does anyone do a Seafire 46/7 in 1/72?

Anyways, I voted March, and I have the Airfix Spit 22 to do.

You're in luck. Special Hobby just came out with really nice examples of both the Seafire FR46 and FR47. I built the FR46 and it is hard to believe that it's a limited run kit. In addition Special Hobby makes a nice cockpit set for it. Here's a picture:

PS: The new Special Hobby Spitfire F21, Seafire FR46, Seafire F45, and Seafire FR47 in 1/72 are well worth the money,

If I can't manage to participate in March, then my offer of Freightdog Decals will still be open.

I have the Airfix F.22. Might convert it to an F.24. That'll tax my modelling skills... :ha:

Have you seen the Xtradecal sheet for PR XIX's? I am considering picking up another and make it Turkish Green/Lt. Blue.

I was in wishful thinking mode there! I have a couple of Mk.XIXs but no XIs...although I might try converting an arifix IX into an XI sometime.
The Turkish versions sounds interesting! I think Heritage Aviation also do a decal sheet for a Turkish PR.XIX.
