Well, if you have your heart set on a PRXI, Hannants has a bunch of Spitfire PR XIs by MPM/Special Hobby in stock and the kit has an injection canopy and a nice selection of markings.MDT wrote:I was in wishful thinking mode there! I have a couple of Mk.XIXs but no XIs...although I might try converting an arifix IX into an XI sometime.Chuck Finley wrote:MDT wrote:Have a couple of PR.XIs knocking around - March or anytime is fine!
Have you seen the Xtradecal sheet for PR XIX's? I am considering picking up another and make it Turkish Green/Lt. Blue.
The Turkish versions sounds interesting! I think Heritage Aviation also do a decal sheet for a Turkish PR.XIX.

On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...

Will watch with interest but will not take part as March is out for me due to involvement in the Apollo 11 GB as participant and assistant lead.

I do have a request for my British cousins. As Gabby Gabreski first experienced European combat with a Polish squadron in the RAF before transferring over to the 56th Fighter Group, I am putting out a request for a assistant GBL from across the pond. With the time difference, it appears that I am on when the others are off and vice-verse. So, any offer will be most greatly appreciated.
On a side note, check out "Air Aces" if it is out where you live. The episode on Douglas Bader was a must see.
