Everyone is rigging except me! A man has to know his limitations!
Looking great, Nigel!

Re: Clashcityrockers Stage
That's looking very good and now I'm genuinely curious how to remove the holes and line remains on the top wing. Not knowing how to do this (or low confidence in my ability to paint clean enough not to have overspray everywhere) has always stopped me from applying this method and just "butt joining" the lines once the model is finished and already had its final paint coat..

Very brave of.you to paint and decal the top wing before.you got your lines cleaned up, but you seem to have this under wraps. It's.going to be beautiful once done.

Nice work on the Gladiator Nigel. The ‘black’ rigging wire is correct because Gloster’s used ‘jappaned’ wire - but I realise you knew that.
PS, have you seen my flattened ‘RAF’ wire thread in ‘Construction’?

Re: Clashcityrockers Stage
Ccr,
you will know of many ways to go about rigging a bi-plane. If it helps (for next time) I attach all the rigging to the upper wing, having painted the under surface. I then rub down any areas of filler to make good the upper surface and then paint it. The lower wing gets its top surface painted but the underside is done once the rigging has been tensioned and secured. Just a thought!
I really fancy that new Airfix 1:48 Bristol Bulldog!

The corrected holes may not look good under the camera macro but I will bet that when viewed from normal distance, and even quite close up, they will be difficult to see.

A bit of careful knifework and some touchups with the paint should tidy up the remaining traces fine Nigel, even for macro setting. Closeups always show up far more than you can see normally.
The past, present, and future walked into a bar. It was tense.

I think this whole rigging business is just another reason that I don't build planes....or ships! Thank the Lord for big brutish tanky things that get covered in mud!
