Bae Hawk T.1?

I'm pretty limited with my stash - I have an old Airfix Fait G.50 that I could put into something. I have a spare desert Airforce P-40 decel sheet I could use, or 815 NAS? on old Revel FW-190 nightfighter....

Depending on when, I'll be in.

Is this build still a runner? We seem to have enough participants but no date mentioned.

OK then - as Naryan has suggested we have enough bodies for this.
I've just taken a quick look at the GB calendar and June looks good. There's the military support vehicle GB already in place but nothing with wings, so I guess that would be a good time.

Any opposition to June?

June sounds good to me. I've got plans for a P-47 in Japanese markings.

Sounds fun - I'm probably in - for me it'll almost certainly be a swap of WW2-era aircraft - maybe a straight swap, and do both kits....

Me-110 and PZL-37.... Kingfisher and Ar-196.... Corsair and Stuka.... Tu-2 and Boston.... Mustang and Veltro....
Hmmm..???

If I'm back up to speed at building by June, I have a Bf-109F to do in South African service - this is a real springbok in wolf's clothes, or do I mean wolf in springbok's clothes? :)

June would be good. Though not sure what, I'm leaning towards a Luftwaffe mottled British something... but Karl's list of Corsair/Stuka, or the Veltro/Mustang and something.. oooooo like a kid in a candy store...

I'm also thinking about opening this up slightly so that rather than just raiding your stash for kits you can also re-use a completed model.
I have several (many) that I am not 100% happy with and would have no issues sanding back the paintwork and repainting and redecaling.
I have so many spare decals I can easily do this.

Nice idea a re-scheme of a completed model, I like the idea, as this build is about the scheme more than the buidling. Excellant.

After sleeping on it, and having a look through the decal sheets in a few kits, i think I've settled on a plan...
Using an Airfix Boston, and a PZL-37 'Los' by ZTS - I'm thinking of a Boston with Romanian markings from the 'Los' kit - And a 'Los' in US livery, decals from the Boston kit.

And if re-schemes are allowed - how about finishing off a 'stalled' kit in an unconventional scheme..??

If I finish the above, with a good few days left, I have an Airfix Helldiver primed and ready to paint - I reckon it would look quite snazzy in sand with green mottles, and a set of Italian markings I have going spare.

To put into one place the 'rules' for this GB.

Your model can be a new build.
Your model can be a stalled build.
Your model can be a completed build.
The only stipulation is that once it's built/completed/sanded down your model must be painted (as closely as possible) to the scheme that the aircraft your decals have come from.

This is a great opportunity to have a bit of fun with a model or two.
You might simply pick two kits from your stash and build them side by side and then just paint and decal them as each other, which is what I am going to do.
You may have a stalled project that you simply can't get the decals you need for. Don't worry, raid your decal bank and repaint it to match.
Or simply pick out a completed kit you aren't happy with. Strip it back, fill in those bits you missed last time and have some fun making it into something completely different.

June appears to be a good month for this, so as soon as I post this I'll drop John a PM and ask him to add this to the GB calendar.

Many thanks for your interest!
