aeroplanegrippers "The Deacon" - Finished
Hello everyone and fellow P-51 builders,
After a long and enjoyable day I have finished the Hasegawa P-51B of the 334th FS of the 4th FG. This morning I added the decals and apart from one letter J that disentegrated all went on reasonably well, especially the nose art ,considering their age not bad.
Here is a side view:
I then attched the very fiddly undercart and the drop tanks, keeping as close to as I could from the original photo, I have published earlier in the thread. I then applied the Xtracrlix flat mixed with a little water to flatten the sheen, I then put in the whip aerial (a tooth brush britsle) and the prop. Then last but not least affixed the canopy.
Its been great fun doing this GB and I have enjoyed watching the progress of us all and the range of kits and subjects being done. Now on to the Lancaster for the 617 GB! Thanks for looking and all the encouragement and kind words.

Re: aeroplanegrippers "The Deacon"
That is lovely work. I will bookmark this as the invasion stripes & national markings are a great example of masking.
Bravo on a great build.

That's really beautiful! Need to make an aircraft in D-day stripes. Believe it or not, I've never made one.
Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...

Well done. Very nice work.
