Sounds simple, but probably isn't. You might think about creating a mask set, or at least a pattern to follow, before you start on the model.

And you're right, Shaun, how hard can it be?
I was joking Ian and I think that scheme will be quite hard indeed! I would guess that to increase your chances, creating some kind of paint masks out of tape as you and Paul have suggested would be the way forward. That is probably easier said than done though. However you look at it, that dazzle scheme will be a big challenge in a blitz. Best of luck if you go for it!

Torpedo boat!

Boats are not very often seen for a blitzbau.

There actually is a mask set out for the dazzle pattern.

I did a PT Boat for a Blitz a few years ago. Course, I used the HAWK kit in 1/200th but still.

$10 seems quite reasonable.
But I am a MAN. And MAN does not need masks!

So the results are in and the PT boat is the lucky victim. Followed by the Arado if I get chance to build a second!

Are the stripes on the PT boat all the same colour?
If I were doing it I'd enlarge by photocopying the artwork and use a sheet of decal to cut the stripes.
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.
