Ted Taylor RIP.

Post by Falcon »

Just heard this morning the sad news that Ted Taylor passed away yesterday after a long illness.
He was a regular at Scale Model World amongst a number of other shows.
My condolences go out to your friends and family.

RIP Ted.
Chris.

Sad to hear. Never met him but his work for the Matchbox ads was always inspirational.

Very sad news.

I guess this will make the Matchbox II GB even more poignant.

I just been reading the "Where's Ted" thread on Britmodeller to which Ted himself was contributing and said back in June that his kidneys had failed and he was only looking at a couple of months. Very sad news all the same. RIP Ted.

He had been ill for the past 3 years and was told in June his kidneys had failed and only had a few months to live.

I think was able to make his peace and get ready to move to the 'big modelling shed' in the sky as he put it.

Very sad news indeed. Modelling aside Ted was a very nice guy and a pleasure to chat with. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

With respects.

RIP Ted, for all the Laughs, Tips and Kits. sometimes at Cost. :)

My compressor's been purring away steadfastly today whilst being used. When I switch it on, you always come to mind. Bodge up a space ready for me in that big shed in the sky, LOL !

RIP Friend.

A very sad loss. I remember the Matchbox ads featuring his work very well.
