This is a great project Mark. Three of my particular faves are the Pup, Canberra and the Super Mystere (which I've always thought to be a bit of a Gallic interpretation of the F-100 Super Sabre ). I believe that the Canberra moulds were permanently buggered up to make the USAF version and originals like yours are probably commanding a fair old price now to collectors - which of course is a great excuse to build one!
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Strange! Absolutely nobody mentioned the Beaufighter . . . . I wonder why?

Yes, very odd Martin. You might think that people have something against it... I wonder what?Martin R wrote:Strange! Absolutely nobody mentioned the Beaufighter . . . . I wonder why?

Generally overlooked are the Piper Cherokee Arrow and Scottish Aviation Bulldog. Both are delightful models and their small size make them ideal for quick builds.

A great idea this Mark, and it generates some very useful lists of kits that are worth looking out for too!
Cheers

Exactly what I have done. A word document to show in search of or built. I also thought that there were few dupes.

Interesting project, Mark.
There's quite a few nice kits in there. None of which I've built myself though.

Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...

Add in a Rotodyne for good measure.

I don't have the Arrow( I overlooked it..... ) but I do have two boxings of the SA Bulldog, I will build one in this project ...you choose.Dazzled wrote:Generally overlooked are the Piper Cherokee Arrow and Scottish Aviation Bulldog.
This was actually going to be on reserve Gerry but now with this project looking a bit more long term than 1 year I suppose I can include it.vacant wrote:Add in a Rotodyne for good measure.
I initially thought about doing a theme build of Airfix bombers or fighters but couldn't decide which so settled for 1/72 scale instead which would then include a very diverse mix of models to build.AndrewR wrote:A great idea this Mark, and it generates some very useful lists of kits that are worth looking out for too!
I do that also Jeff and take photos of the box art which I find very helpful indeed.jssel wrote: A word document to show in search of or built.
Thanks Sissel, I have only actually built four from my final list, I think that's what makes it an exciting undertaking.Prisca wrote: None of which I've built myself though.
Thanks all for the interest.

I have rather a soft spot for the red and white RAF version as I worked on them during my time with the MOD.

Looking forward to seeing these get built. Must have handled them all at some time in the past. Wish I'd bought some of them now.
