Re: An Anniversary Blitz ** Started **
Lunch was very nice, beans on toast. Highly recommended for a blitz as it releases energy slowly.
Progress of sorts. The tub is finished.
Just coated the canopy with Klear ready for masking then fitting.
Time check:
THERE SHOULD BE A PICTURE HERE BUT THE SITE IS WRONG ABOUT ITS SIZE SO WON'T LET ME POST.
I have spent as much time fighting this as modelling today!
Daughter has risen, been fed & I removed a terrifyingly big spider (her words not mine.)from the computer. So now I am a hero too - I couldn't see it without my specs.

"Pictures over 800" I have had that warning when the width was right but the height was over 1000 high.
If I use portrait format I always set the height to 1000 so as to get the max width.

No comments about fit? Well, you know what they always say? "It's nothing that a belt sander and wood rasp won't take care of!"
SWMBO always knows when there is a Blitz on. Especially a couple of hours after I am in bed.

I was chatting recently with a lady 'of the other persuasion' and after she stated 'We don't need men' I countered with 'Who would get the spider out of the bath?'
She had no response.
Nice looking lunch!

That's hard core Splash.splash wrote:I always have mine cold and out of the tin to save Blitz time
The server keeps telling me my pics are too big but I always edit them in photobucket to meet the size restrictions before I upload them. I wonder if my PC is caching them somewhere and is trying to load those rather than the reduced ones direct from photobucket.
Finally the server is letting me upload again:
About the fit. I had to shave quite a bit off the wing to fuselage join on both sides but the plastic is very thin so it was easy.
Got the radiator & small bit attached whilst the canopy dries.
I am about to whack a coat of Halfords primer on it, pics as soon as its dry.

No it has Lanc, Wellington, Mozzie & Beafort too. IIRC it was a Fathers Day gift from the kids so I like to be seen using it.splash wrote:Great start OT I love your coffee mug is it just Spitfires and Hurricane's?

Time for a snack whilst the primer dries:
Not too bad. Just a little filler needed at the wing roots and along the nose seam line.
On with painting soon. Green & Brown topside with black undersides. Hopefully it will end up looking something like this:
I must apologies as I have not mentioned my music listening.

Good progress and a nice scheme, OT.
Didn't know about Seasick Steve till he appeared on Top Gear (the fountain of all knowledge). He's quite good.
And I take it you don't mean modelling supplies!!!!

Looking good so far. I wonder if the picture trouble has to do with portrait or landscape views. But this is a blitz, do not waste time of figuring that out now.
