Who's going to Telford?

Post by Dazzled »

I am :partytime:

I went for the first time 2 years ago but couldn't go last year because of my dumb shift rota. This year however I have a full rostered 4 days off, Friday to Monday. Better still, because Mrs Dazzled enjoyed the show so much 2 years ago (really she did!!) we're going to make a weekend of it. A day at the RAF museum at Cosford on Saturday, an evening meal at a restaurant in Telford, recommended by a friend, a night in a hotel in Shifnal and Sunday at the show :-D . Like the big kid I am, I can't wait.

I was wondering who else will be there and, as I've been a member of this esteemed forum for just about 2 years now, if anybody would like to meet up for a chat? It would be nice to put names to faces at last.

Don't talk to me about shift rotas. I've wanted to go for the last 5 years but have been working.
Guess what? Same this year.......

I would have loved to go! But things want it otherwise. I'm still at Cuba then. But doubt I could have gone anyway.
Next year I gotta go for sure! Been far too long. And hoping to see some familiar faces again would be great, and offcourse those I haven't met in person yet. :)

Ian, can't you tak out some days of your holiday and bring the family for a fun weekend?
Confused as always, and somewhere in hiding on the Scandinavian peninsula...

If it was a week earlier I would be as I am in Europe for a business meeting...and will be on my way home on 1 November - can't really justify the funds to stay over an extra week but will be paying extra attention to the lottery just in case...

I'll be there, once again splitting my time between the CBK and Coastal Command SIG tables (which hopefully will be side by side again) so make sure to pop by and say hello!

I'll will be there though I've got to work out where I'm staying. I've stayed overnight at my parents in north wales the last couple of years but they are on holiday this year - hopefully they think I'm old enough to be trusted with a key! ;-)

Speaking to the young gentleman on the Kingkit stall at Cosford early on in the year, they were thinking of having an open day again possibly this year,so if you are about Shifnal way it's well worth a gander.

I'll be there as per with the Cold War sig table but will of course show my face at the CBK table both days. With at least two overseas members making the trip next year how about arranging a proper CBK meet up in 2014? Will we be having a meet up this year as well?. Say 12 each day at the CBK table?

All the best.
