That's very cool. I've never seen a rocket pack like that before. I'd hate to be on the receiving end of that

FYI, it's the M3 something or another, maybe ARA = Aerial Rocket Artillery -- 24 2.75" FFAR (folding fin aerial rockets) per pod. They fired two rockets at a time, one from each side of the aircraft, to avoid adverse aerodynamic effects .... It's an unguided weapon, so volume of fire counted .... Called 'Mighty Mouse', the rocket was originally designed for air-to-air then adapted to air-to-ground .... warhead is about 6lbs explosive.

I believe flight crews refered to them as "Heavy Hogs" but not sure. I was in UH1C, D and H models.

Not trying to be a know-it-all here but the Huey had a dark gull grey interior and to me you nailed it.

Coming together very nicely. What did you use for seatbelts or did they come moulded?

As an aside, anyone interested in a very good book about what it was like to pilot a Huey during the Vietnam War should read Chickenhawk by Robert Mason, a very, very good read and one of my all time favourite non-fiction books.

Agreed, if you only ever read one book about flying in vietnam this is the book. It's one off the few books I have read several times. 8-)
