Shep's Model Shack
I've only just gotten back into building in the past year or so, mostly trying to finish off projects I started, in some cases, 15 years ago!
Here's the desk. Yes, it's a wreck but I wouldn't have it any other way!
And part of the stash. At one point about 20 years ago I had over 500 kits, but I sold most of them some time ago.
And some Matchbox and Airfix CBKs I recently picked up from a local shop... $4.50 each!

Seeing the desks of other peeps here, I'd say yours is fine and tidy.
Nice pink radio!
What kits are you working on?

Re: Shep's Model Shack
And here are the projects that I'm hoping to finish this winter....
MPM Bristol Blenheim Mk IV. Lovely, but challenging. Building it straight out of the box. Only additions were the props, wheels and struts from the Airfix Blenheim. Build thread happening at http://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=8644;
Next are an Airfix Hudson and a Frog Beaufort. The Hudson has been dogging me for a very, very long time - I started it long before the updated versions came out. Lots of upgrades here - new interior, new engines and nacelles, new vents at the wing leading edges, Aeroclub canopy, and a turret from the Academy Ventura, plus new wheels, etched panels lines, etc etc. Going to be great when it's done, but we've been having a love-hate relationship for a long time.
And the other beast that's keeping me up lately... the Frog (Encore) Bristol Beaufort. Lots of work here too - new engines and nacelles, new struts and wheels, new vac-formed canopies, etched lines, etc. A total pain. But I think I like the pain. There's an old build thread here before I stopped: http://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=181&t=1397;

My wife was going to toss the radio, as the CD player doesn't work, but it raises the CBC quite nicely!Prisca wrote:Seeing the desks of other peeps here, I'd say yours is fine and tidy.

I guess the desk is okay. I've seen some other guy's and they're pristine... I just can't work that way.

That looks like a great cosy little workspace. Nice light and stash too!

Re: Shep's Model Shack
Just found a bunch of scans in my old photobucket account... thought I would post some. Not sure if that's a breach of the workbench rules!
Some of these date back over 18 years. All 72 scale, natch...
Airfix Defiant. I built a new section aft of the turret, scratched a little interior and vacced new clear parts.

Re: Shep's Model Shack
There are no rules for the workbench. It's your home, do as you want.
I like the weathering on the Defiant.
Your Folgore looks great, well done on that one. I do like to build Italian aircraft now and then.
