D-man,

It may be old, but it's still a nice kit to build. Looking forward to see what you do with it.

Martin

The cockpit is quite nice as it is, just decided to give it a quick coat of paint and add the instrument decals (they are there so why not use them). (Sorry for poor quality of this photo).

You can do this as a F6F-5 or F6F-3. I am doing the F6F-3 as I prefer the colour scheme. The F6F-3 requires two small pieces of plastic to be removed and additional cockpit windows to be added. First one done.

And once the cockpit is in place doesn't look too bad, although obviously plenty of options for more detailing of the cockpit if you want but not really my thing.

I wanted 2 relatively straight forward builds for this and the Hurricane Group Build and I seem to have picked pretty well.
Like the Hurricane this is proving to be a no fuss kit to put together.

Nice work, The Hellcat is a favourite WWII fighter.

Coming together nicely!

Not much progress as I have had a few days away, however the model has been painted and gloss varnished next up is the decals.
