Great progress so far. The struts look like being a hasstle.

Yes, those things were a hassle  .

Here is the Seabee. I need to complete the landing gear legs and paint them. The model itself is painted. I still have to touch up those raised lines that are green on the sides. Those are quite troublesome to paint. Not my best effort for sure...

For those raised lines, if you paint them gloss green, then add the silver over the top, you should then be able to rub off the silver, leaving the green line showing through.

Just a suggestion.

The Seabee is finally done. This was a difficult kit for me and I am glad its over. One pleasant surprise out of all of this was that the decals are very nice. I used Gunze-Sangyo Clear Gloss for my under coat. The Mach2 decals are very thin and by using the "Micro-Scale" system they conformed to all of the ribs, grooves, and bumps without any problems. I did not have any tearing issues either since that might have been a potential problem with thin decals. This is my first Mach2 kit to complete (I have around 10 more to go - ).

Thank you Barry!

And perhaps you exemplify why we end up buying Mach 2 kits...
We see the finished model!
I think that the bottom line is that whilst the kits are...er....pants, the challenge laid down to the modeller will often get a reasonable result.

That looks a wonderful result, Tommy.

Respect.

It may have been difficult, but that Seabee looks wonderful.

Thank you all for the nice comments on the Seabee!

The Criquet is coming along fine. The major painting is done. I'll have some photos later today.

Here is the Criquet ready to have its gloss coat applied prior to decaling (which I'll do tomorrow):

I painted the model with Tamiya Olive Drab. The white areas are Floquil Reefer White. The kit actually supplies the decals for the white areas, however, it was easy enough for me to just paint them on and be done with it.
