I just spotted this build and you, sir, are an absolute maniac!

Maximum respect for tackling this in a GB and it looks like an excellent job so far! Best of luck with the rest of the build

I believe it was the first Helicopter to be fitted with retractable u/c.

looking at the videos it surprised me how quick the front doors and ramps operated

A test fit of the canopy shows a good fit, this will be a first for me.

I was trying to think of a way to describe the CH-37 and you have hit the nail right on the head "Its a big pod racer" its almost steam punk with its odd looks, I'm now thinking copper, steal and brass as a colour scheme :-D

Have now done a bit of research on the CH-37 it looks like it came in different flavours the early version had a large stabiliser on both sides at the rear of the cabin on the later versions they had one large stabiliser on the starboard side opposite the tail rotor.

This kit has the early type of stabilisers so it might limit my choice of colours to green or green

It certainly has a very distinctive look about it. Look forward to seeing the finished article.

You are making this look so easy that I now have a hankering to dig out one of my other Airmodel kits to build. My doctor says this feeling will pass if I keep taking my meds...

Your build is looking great, Splash!!

Cheers for the great comments guys.

I think I have been lucky with this vac form kit, the fit is not bad and the parts are big and simple and due to the size they have used heavy duty plastic so no thin spots.

The down side will be tiring to make the blades/rotor head & u/c as none of these parts are included.

what kit did you order Andrew?
