And you were expecting a Beaufighter. In this case, Whispering Death is the name given by the Viet Cong to the Grumman OV-1 Mohawk. Feared for its ability to see in the dark, useful weapons load and ability to loiter over the battlefield for long periods, there was a bounty of 150,000 piestras on offer to any gunner bringing a Mohawk down. This one comes courtesy of Roden and has been finding its way onto my workbench for about three years now for a good ten minutes at a time.
In all that time, I have managed about half a cockpit. Although it might look pretty complete here, the instrument panel consists of 20 or so pieces
First hurdle then is the instrument panel. Then finding somewhere to stuff sufficient noseweight to stop it from tailsitting. The Roden decals should be entertaining too.

That would match the horror stories I have heard. The Liquid Decal Film will be getting an outing for sure and the sheet has been scanned in case of any colour laser action being needed.

I thought Willem Defoe was a good guy(American) so why are they bombing him in that picture?

It is an uncanny likeness!bromo wrote:I thought Willem Defoe was a good guy(American) so why are they bombing him in that picture?
Great work on the interior Flack. How can an IP need 20+ pieces? I have build kits with less parts than that.

It looks menacing with that toothy grin on the box art. Kinda reminds me of the grin on the Hs 129 A model. I look forward to seeing this one. The cockpit is fantastic.

Funny, I always thought it was Charles Bronson. Clearly the VC have every confidence in their camouflage skills, to the point that they are negotiating the Ho Chi Minh Trail with headlights blazing.

Re: Flakmonkey's Whispering Death
There um hasn't actually been any progress on account of work , I was expecting to jump on it this week but had to do a few things in the forum's engine room. I'll get on it at the weekend.
