CTA 1/144 Boeing E-767 AWACS # Finished

I wonder why some kits are not on the market even when there is clear opportunity to make them as kit or as conversion set. Maybe their prototypes are considered "not interesting", may be kit maker's marketologists do know their trade really well. As a result Wolfpack-Design had cancelled their E-767 project, but I still wanted this AWACS in my collection to stand side by side with a lot more famous E-3, so I've made this set for me and enthusiasts like myself.

And now I have some free time for modelling (after all this drawing decals).

Dry fit.

Cut then Add operations also ;-)

Very impressive. That looks a very well engineered conversion set.

Most people start with wheels or bombs. This is impressive and interesting conversion.

I was considering trying to build one of these using the dome for a Minicraft E-3. I think I have a set of decals from the Hasegawa kit that were enlarged to 1/144. This might be the easier option.

Small update.
I installed the racks of antenna radome. Gradually, step by step glued urethane parts.

Forest from Antennas. Strange, but the "Zvezda" did not make any antennas in the kit. Absolutely none.

Nice work, a lot of Airliner kit manufacturers don't include antennas, Revell seems to be the exception.

I thought late about photo etching. But the use of photo-etched solves the problem with the antennas in the case of the E-767 is not completely.
