Glencoe (Lincoln Int.) 1/65 Bristol Sycamore HR14
A DNF from the Helo GB https://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=403&t=18466; I completed it on my work bench thread https://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?p=392423#p392423;
Finished in daylgo markings of the Central Flying School from a picture I found online. The larger box scale of this kit made it a suitable basis for this scheme as the lines would get ridiculously thin, though inaccuracies in shape an panel details provided their own issues. The MilSpec Daylgo orange is great but does require a white base coat unlike I was informed (the subsequent coats mean the paint is quite thick). I also got a rough finish as it probably needed to go on wetter. I added rear seats, blown door using plunge moulds and folded the rotor. The latter mainly to reduce its shelf space.
Far from my greatest work but this was a good vehicle to try out new techniques and I've learned a few things. Thanks for following and the encouragement.

Still a very good looking aircraft done in an unusual way. Can't be faulted.
It's only pain, work through it.

It's been decades since I did a helicopter but that makes me think perhaps it's about time I had another go. Lovely work.

Now that I see it in its finished glory, I am left to ponder whether the day-glo panels make the rivets stand out or vice versa
Good job !

Awesome!
Best wishes

Very well presented indeed. The blown doors really look good. Never mind the paint job - it does not show up as rough in the photos.

A great build, James, nicely improved over OOB and modelling the rotors folded has given it an excellent candid appearance as well as being practical in reducing the model's shelf footprint!

Very well done. It will give rivet counters many happy hours. Well done with the rotor fold - never an easy job to do well.
