Academy 1/48 Messerschmit Bf109t-2 #12225

Post by Titan »

Well I was rushing this build to try to get it finished before my holiday but didn't quite make it.
I had a problem with my airbrush I just couldn't mend the needle that I bent on another build before I started this build so was struggling to get a good enough result with the RLM76 over pattern on the wings and spine.
Anyway to cut a long story short I got a new airbrush and went back over the pattern again avoiding the decals that I hastily applied 10 days ago.

The kit itself was ok to put together so any mistake would be totally down to my eagerness to get it finished and out of the way before holidaying but the trouble was I kept thinking about how to fix it all the while I was away  ..... I really do need to get a life.:-D

Cracking job Mark...........
I especially like the dusty wheel/tires, very convincing.
Nice job on that unusual scheme.
Thanks,

That looks really nice.

I managed to snaffle one of these from Modelzone a couple of months ago.
Looks quite basic in the box but you've defo made it turn out quite cool :)

You nailed that one. Wonderful work.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale
