Things are coming into final shape. One more round of filling and sanding on the back pack and it should be done. The gloves are updated with additional straps for this mission. I made them from heavy foil. Most elements are final or close to final..
Cernan's suit for this mission had an additional pocket on the left sleeve, I made it out of furnace tape and stuffed with a little clay for bulk.
As can be seen in the photo above, the metallic leg coverings have a different texture than the white suit. I experimented with different approaches and settled on multiple cuts with the razor saw and then sanding a little to smooth out. I removed all the pockets and such and made a new strap for his right leg.
As I'm writing this, my square brass rods just arrived so I can figure out how to mount him.
