1/72 Eastern Express Nieuport 16
Model depicts Nieuport 16 of Jean Navarre N1130. Kit was very basic and needed some improvements. The machine gun and mount as well as the windshield came from the Eduard Nieuport 17. Tail decals from Print Scale. Engine was modified and control horns added. The roundel blue was switched also. The real challenge for me was the painting. I used GC10 Mister Kit clear doped linen, Vallejo Armor brown, Russian green, Dk vermillion red, and Russian grey for the blue trim. Rigging was .004 stainless steel. The weakest part of this kit was the landing gear which required some modification. I hope that if KP releases their Nieuport 11/16 that it will be an improvement.

That is nice, interesting use of colors. Well done !
Mr Kit used to be my go-to - acrylic, sprayed well, good colors - then I just could not get it here in the US. I really miss it.

Very nice. I think Navarre was one of the first well known aces. I have this in the stash and have built the Nieuport 11. The 16 is an 11 with a bigger engine but the Eastern Express offerings are pretty much the same kit, I think. Worth the effort.

That is a first class job!
I agree with your reservations of the kit. Every time I see it on the shelf it looks off. I'm convinced there is something wrong with the dimensions, particularly wheels and undercarriage and the prop. I am not normally one to make a fuss about dimensional accuracy but this one has always bothered me.

That is a beautifully done little Nieuport. Eastern Express kits are generally pretty basic but you've got a first class result out of this one!
The past, present, and future walked into a bar. It was tense.

That's a nice one!! I really like WWI subjects, especially colourful ones
I like to carve old kits into something roughly aircraft/tank shaped...
